We feel like we have been part of history after the successful completion of our recent WiFi installation job at Stirling Castle!
The castle is one of the most historic buildings in Scotland, so it was an honour for us to be working on this iconic site as one of the trades which have worked there over the last few hundred years!
We were approached by The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum to improve connectivity at the venue as part of their £4m redevelopment project which is set to be completed this year.
The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum traces the history of one of Scotland’s oldest regiments.
The work had to be carried out meticulously within Historic Scotland guidelines respecting the age and structure of the building.
With the walls of the castle 10ft thick in places and built to withstand invading armies – plenty of WiFi access points were required to ensure optimum signal strength around the building!
Our staff installed multiple Ubiquiti Unifi WiFi access points and switches – which can all be managed from the Cloud for ease of use.
The Ubiquiti UniFi access points (APs) are revolutionary, enterprise WiFi solutions that combine carrier-class performance, unlimited scalability and a virtual management controller.
We are proud to have been part of the team of services working on this redevelopment in one of the largest and grandest castles in the heart of Scotland.
George Aitkenhead, Technical Director of Lithium Systems, said: “We are delighted to have been asked to work on this project to help bring this wonderful, historic building into this century and ensure they are kept connected at an optimum level.
